I met a friend for coffee and we decided to go to a posh hotel instead of our usual visit to John Lewis with the hoards of Black Friday shoppers and general hubbub. We were so pleased we did with the peace and delightful Christmas decorations and not forgetting table service and coffee and cake on a special offer .
