Going Batty by wendyfrost

Going Batty

I found this lovely bat in a gift shop in the summer and thought it would make an ideal present for an eight year old boy who likes wild life and nature then the hard bit finding a box to put it in. I came across this box which was a set of two in a lovely online shop in Hastings called Golden Hands which sells unusual gifts .
I like the look of the box! I hope you are getting on OK now, Wendy.

Thankyou for your comment Judith yes the wings are attached to a nylon thread so they can be wrapped around or flapped and it can also be hung up with a thread and ring.It is very soft and cute. @busylady

@quietpurplehaze Thank you for your comments Hazel. Pleased to hear you are doing so well.I am still struggling on with good and bad days my new injection medication helped to start with but seems to have dwindled off after the 4 months of using it.Have an appointment after Christmas the consultant says they will consider changing it if neccesary. Have lost half of my weight goal towards my op. also.

@wendyfrost

It sounds as if you are doing your bit towards getting the op by losing weight, Wendy. Well done! I would like to also but the meds I have to take for bipolar disorder keep weight on, despite only now taking half my previous dose. Getting a blood test to check levels tomorrow and hoping the lovely psychiatrist I have now will reduce the dose even further, fingers crossed. Hope you can get some new more effective meds, fingers crossed again! I am still working hard on exercises and walking, having pulled a muscle in my non-operated hip!
