I bought this wildflower from a Virginia Native Plant Society sale several years ago (I say several, but it was probably 10, which is really disturbing). I thought I was buying the Maryland meadow beauty, which, I think, is a deeper pink. Still, this little plant faithfully shoots up one or two flowers in early August, just as I've arrived home from Erie. Since I'm not much of a gardener, I really appreciate it's efforts. Especially since it's home in the front yard is basically overrun by the mint I mistakenly planted.
