Two years ago my other friend Gwen asked if I could repair a quilt her great-grandmother made. I didn't really know how to fix it, so it's been sitting in my closet while I pondered what to do. Last week she asked if she could have it back. So I replaced the binding but gave up on fixing the holes. Luckily she knows how I operate, so she was pleasantly surprised that I had done anything at all.
I've had a hard time fixing old quilts too, especially if it is a piecing seam that is intact, but the surrounding fabric is worn through. What to do with that?!?
