The Cooperative Extension put together a Tree Search for the summer. My Mom, Jack and I followed the "clues" to find three of the 15 trees today. This one is a cucumber magnolia in the Erie Cemetery. The base of the trunk really looks like an elephant's foot. Inside the hole there are little plants growing and some of the seed pods from the tree. This was the favorite of the ones we found today.
