that girl by wiesnerbeth

that girl

I've always wanted to live like Margo Thomas in "That Girl" . . . you know, walking all around New York, buying things at little markets, wearing cute hats, buying flowers . . . Last week they opened a farmers market near my neighborhood so my neighbor Katina and I and my son Jack walked there today to mosey around. While we were there I walked over to the library to pick up my holds and then after Jack walked back home and Katina's daughter Marquette drive over to pick up the huge watermelon I got, K and I walked to the quilt shop, which is just around the corner. We had to sit in the air conditioning for 15 minutes before we could walk back home. Here's what I learned: the suburbs are not like New York.
At least you can watch Call the Midwife when you get home. That will make everything better. P.S. The books are great quick reads.

@laurielizard I'm putting the books on hold today. My Mom got me hooked on the show. I watched all three seasons while I was making my vanilla quilt this summer! So good!
