Spent my whole morning in a reading training with our assistant principal and my night working on my milkweed quilt and catching up on this season's episodes of "Castle." In between (since we were already "out of the office"), Toi and I ate lunch at Kikirikki and went to Starbucks (Have I mentioned how much I love our assistant principal?). I decided to go with the pink-flowered version for the quilt (not totally happy with that, but will try to soldier on in hopes that it will turn out fine in the end). Since I'm not allowed to post pictures of the milkweed quilt, I'm posting this photo of the pink milkweed flower that I took this summer in West Virginia. As I was looking at the photo, I realized that I drew the flower with four petals and it clearly has five petals, so now I will be removing all the flowers and starting over. Grrrr.
It will be a beautiful quilt! The flowers are dainty and beautiful. I think I like the pink/purple color. Maybe you could sneak a white one in your quilt for good measure!
