4th monday of the month

The speaker tonight (who's name escapes me, but I do remember that she was from Annapolis) brought her collection of two color quilts -- blue and white and red and white. Lots of good stories and stunning quilts. Two years ago I set a goal of making one red and white quilt every year for the next five years. So far I've finished one block, but I left the meeting all fired up to get started again. Wonder how long that will last.
You have to be brave and exact in your stitching to have that much negative space! I've always admired these, but never dreamed of attempting one! My husband's grandmother made our oldest daughter a one piece quilt with a lion and a lamb quilted on it. No bubbles, pinches, or wrinkles. Amazing!

@laurielizard All my quilts have foldovers, no matter how hard I try . . . "Finished is better than perfect!" is my motto, although I'd love to make that one perfect quilt!
