I don't usually wash my appliqué quilts, but I got a spot on this one, so wading was inevitable. I love it's new "vintage" look. I used fabric from a pair of pants my daughter wore when she was two and a pair of pajamas I wore when I was a baby (and handed down to the next three brothers). Added some shirts I found at Goodwill, lots of corduroy, cotton rickrack, lots of vintage buttons, and three buttons my friend Marianne gave me for my birthday a few years ago.
@vicerie Lily was not too happy when she found out I was cutting up her old clothes! Speaking of which, does Ollie have any old plaid shirts that I could cut up for his graduation quilt?
