Had sleet and freezing rail all day, but the roads were fine so I took Nick and Lily and Lily's friend Erin into the District to go to the National Geographic Museum. Streets still fine but the sidewalks were a mix of solid ice and slippery slush. An older lady (who didn't seem to be having nearly as much trouble as I was having) saw me grab onto the parking meter to avoid sliding into the street and told me to be careful. I was too busy trying to save myself to see if she made it onto the sidewalk. Meanwhile Nick sprinted up the street and around another block, got an empanada and was back before I made it back to the car. Lily and Erin waited for me on every corner while yelling "Come on Mr. Frederickson." Why do I take them places?
