On my weekly pilgrimage to Fredericksburg to find the spotted wintergreen (which still is not blooming . . . what is up with that plant?!), Nick spotted (haha just noticed that pun) this wildflower. I believe his exact words were, "There's something pink on this side of the road." He would not get out of the car for fear of contracting West Nile virus from the numerous mosquitoes. I doubt his dedication to the pursuit of botany.
