So my friend Alexia went to Safeway to buy more Snickers and came back with a bouquet of sunflowers, which she shared with me. Then one of my second graders accused me of stealing the flower from his yard! Really?! When I said I didn't take it he said, "Well my neighbor said some white guy took it!" and then he gave me "a look" like "and you're white so it must have been you." Then I tried telling him that I wasn't a guy and I would never come in anyone's yard and steal the plants, to which he replied by raising his eyebrow and looking at my skin and then looking back at my face. Wonder if I'll be in the office tomorrow answering an incident report?!
