Emily Martin is an amazing appliqué artist in our quilt guild. This is less than a quarter of her quilt -- all appliquéd and quilted by hand. I think she's been working on it for 10 years or more. Some of the blocks are her original designs others are by Elly Sienkievich. I took a class from Emily about 10 years ago. She is really a lovely woman but totally appalled by my fabric choices and slapdash methods. We still like each other.
