. . . outside a market between here and Fredericksburg. Thanksgiving traffic around here is a nightmare so we took back roads to get the boys back to their various schools.
@wiesnerbeth , we had some friends who rented the goats. School busses altered their routes to drive by so the kids could see them. And the funny thing was that after they ate all the bush trimmings and debris, they got hungry and escaped from the fence. This was in the middle of a suburban Atlanta neighborhood. Goats everywhere and neighbors pitching in to round them up!
@margonaut that is do funny! One of my sons goes to school in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The campus is close to the small downtown area and suburban neighborhoods. Freshman year the parents of a girl from his dorm brought her pet goats when they came to pick her up. Somehow (and I'm rolling my eyes here) he ended up holding one. I'm not sure how it got away from him but it started running and the girl's mother told him to go get it, so he was chasing it across streets and parking lots full of people packing up to go home. I wish I'd been there!
