I spent a lovely day shopping and having lunch with my friend Kris who is from St. Louis but is here visiting her daughter Lucy. Lucy works at Mt Vernon, so she got us tickets to see the illumination and visit the mansion at night. At the end there were fireworks over the Potomac River. So fun!
