I'm a tad bit obsessed by sponge candy. I think it's probably a bad thing that this was so easy to make and used relatively simple ingredients that I had around the house . . .

It says don't stir (just swirl) but all the other recipes I looked at said stir the whole time -- so I stirred most of the time until I added the baking soda. Also I used Guittard milk chocolate chips (my favorite) instead of dark chocolate.
