Apparently it’s always been my mother’s dream that we sing “The Twelve Days of Christmas” together on Christmas Eve. Since we don’t know all the words, she and my sister are cueing us by frantically turning the pages of this picture book, but my sister still had time to shoot the evil eye at my nephew. Not sure what he was doing . . . but I was scared.
