my yogurt obsession has been replaced by a fishing reel obsession
While looking for some green-handled kitchen utensils on eBay, I came across some fishing reels with green Bakelite handles! This is one of my favorite shades of green + the brand is Penn 77 — I grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from high school in 77, so that was definitely a sign. So now I own two of these (this one arrived today) and I have my eye on another that has orange handles. Although I was told by my friend and my son that two was more than enough, but really, what do they know? I’m going to use them as quilt hangers or ribbon or rick rack holders (maybe with a quilted fish attached to the ribbon . . . ). Since I have a plan, I think it’s ok to buy more. At least that’s what I tell myself . . .
