After scrapping our National Arboretum hike (it was raining and 40 degrees) we started at the botanical garden and ended the day at this fun church, which is now an art gallery. In between we had to drive to the Maine Avenue wharf for pie. The pie cafe was inside a bike shop/hardware store. So I had to include the brown flower (devil’s cotton) because ever since we started watching “Stranger Things,” all the bizarre plants we see remind us of things you would see in the Upside Down.
