. . . Of the Georgetown Olive Oil Company from Nick’s new apartment. They don’t have electricity yet so we moved in stuff by the streetlights and flashlights on our phones. Oh to be young and off on an adventure!
@margonaut He moved to Georgetown, which is very fun, but very crowded with no parking. They are living above a fancy antique store and since the March for Our Lives was going on too, we decided to wait until the stores closed to move in so that we could park in the loading zone and not have to carry the mattress three blocks through the crowds. After we got there, he realized we wouldn’t be able to see if the electricity was off. Sigh.
@wiesnerbeth wow, Georgetown! One of the few times I've cried in traffic was in Georgetown in a Suburban. The streets were so NARROW with cars parked on both sides, and people were walking everywhere, plus the GPS was barking at me. But how exciting to be living there! Hopefully without a car!
@margonaut That’s the same experience I have every time I go there — which is why I never go there! Luckily it’s the perfect place for him — not only does he not have a car, he doesn’t know how to drive. Unfortunately it means that if I want to see him, I have to start driving there!
