I read “Knuffle Bunny” by Mo Willems to my first graders. They drew Knuffle Bunnies and then we went down to “the secret room with a washer” in our school so we could pretend their bunnies were stuck at the laundromat. I wish I’d been able to have the photos in black and white with just the bunnies in green, but it was still a fun project (although not without its peril, as usual).
