@margonaut No and No! The colors are pieced. It was a pretty easy piecing project, which I adapted a bit (placement-wise) from a free pattern by Jacquie Gehrig — https://pbsfabrics.com/collections/patterns/products/whirlygig-jacquies-favorites-quilt-pattern
And, also no longarm. But we have one at the quilt shop I’m working in and every once in awhile I get to practice using it.
