so . . . the hierarchy appears to be snakes, horses, hikers, bikers
Beginning the new year with my first hike of the 2019 52-hike challenge. We did not see any snakes or horses and the bikers we passed did not understand yielding sign. However, we did see a bald eagle, one cardinal, and many vultures.
@margonaut I know!! The snake sign doesn’t appear until you’ve already hiked about a mile so by then it’s too late. My older son used to run there for cross practice in high school — he said he’s never seen a snake, but he was quick to point out the locations of all the sinkholes. And it’s next to a mysterious “factory” that apparently smells like maple syrup in the summer and looks like the lab in “Stranger Things.” The whole place is fraught with peril.
