more bird sewing

I’m using my dad’s old brown and gray corduroy shirt for the robin’s body and all my favorite greens for the leaves.

So special to use his shirt that way. I used to feel bad cutting up a meaningful garment, but then I realized that it's the perfect way to honor it.

@margonaut I know, I felt the same. I think it was his favorite because he wore it a lot. It helped that it was already fairly worn, so my mom had already cut it apart. But I love that when I look at the robin I can picture my dad.
