Outside the Library of Congress, where Marianne and I went to hear Alexander McCall Smith tonight. Right before taking this photo I overheard a big burly man in Burrito Brothers talking to someone on the phone about “deciding when to take your romance to the next level.” Shortly after this Alexander McCall Smith said he learns a lot from listening to other people’s conversations. Isn’t it nice when everything comes together?
