otherwise known as halloween

We’re not allowed to dress up for Halloween at school, so we have “Book Character Day” instead (splitting hairs, I know). Every year the kids still dress in Halloween costumes and pretend they’re book characters, but the teachers really get into it (our kindergarten team was “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves” this year). Here we have Robertha/Little Red Riding Hood; Natalie/Harry Potter’s owl, me/the Boy in “Strictly No Elephants;” and Alexia/Purple Crayon from “The Day the Crayons Quit.” I spent the whole week reading “my book” to all my classes so they’d know who I was — the most pressing issue for them was that I either had to dye my hair or wear a wig.
Gotta love the purple crayon!!

@studiouno I love her quote. I could wear that one every day! She’s always looking for an excuse to wear her tutu.
