improvising

Had six experimental strips that I found when I was sorting out one of my fabric cabinets. I was going to throw them away because I didn’t love them and didn’t have enough to make more than a square, but Lily said she liked them . . . now instead of six small strips I didn’t like, I have a huge project I don’t like.
ha ha! It happens. Without seeing the whole thing it's hard to tell, but I kinda like it. You could cut it up again and keep playing. My theory is that it can always get better. Even an interesting border can save a quilt.

@margonaut Well, it doesn’t have interesting borders and now it’s the back of a top that I made from the scraps of this project — I started using the leftover strips and pieces as leaders and enders in some wonky log cabin blocks. We both ended up liking those blocks better than this one.
