My friend Maricelis and her daughters spotted her on the way into school today, so after morning bus and breakfast duty we went out to take a million pictures. I’ve never seen one this close before. She’s a little battered but showed off her eye spots and lifted her wing so we could see underneath — their bodies are really fluffy.
