Last night at dusk my mom drove out to at park where she (once again) illegally picked some wildflowers for my birthday. I was (as usual) the lookout. She is a wonder with flowers . . .
@eudora She definitely fostered my love of them. She gave me my first wildflower field guide when I was about seven — either for my birthday or First Communion.
@margonaut Haha! My mom is somewhat discreet in her picking (and I have to admit that I benefit); my sister keeps a shovel in her car for plants she finds on the side of the road.
