Teachers are cutthroat scavenger hunters, especially when the reward is a jeans day. I never win anything. In fact it was a total fluke. I wasn’t even the first person in the library to search — and I was in my office, which is in the library. Those younger teachers are really fast. But it was age before beauty for the win this time.
@margonaut Sweatpants are where it’s really at. Our new principal is a stickler for “professional bottoms,” so we can only wear jeans on Friday for spirit days (when we wear our school colors). Our former principal allowed jeans on Mondays (house colors days) and Fridays, and every week we had “Workout Wednesday,” and were allowed to wear sweats and college t-shirts. Professional bottoms has been a real adjustment for us. (In all other aspects the change has been good though!)
