Love that spoon rest! And the spoon! Saw a rating of wooden spoons on America's Test Kitchen yesterday, and a flat-edge one won.

@margonaut I’m very picky about my wooden spoons. I never thought about the flat edge being a bonus. I like this one because the handle is thin.
