. . . where I am covered with two quilts and two rice bags trying to get warm and waiting for it to be 10:00 so I can go to bed. It’s 8:17 now. Why is it so rainy and chilly on May Day? Although. . . now that I think about it, today is my brother’s birthday and the day he was born there was a snow storm. So I guess not that unusual. But at least if it were snowing there would be no school tomorrow. Jack came in awhile ago and wanted to know why I was wearing a hood over my head, then said I looked like Darth Sidious and left the room. I don’t think that was a compliment.
Love love love that hexagon quilt! An antique? And the bedskirt! Sorry for the cold and rain. Chilly here too (highs around 70) but stunningly sunny and beautiful.
@margonaut I’m not sure on the age of the hexagon quilt. I got it at an estate sale in Erie but the owner bought it from someone in Ohio — they thought Amish but I think probably Mennonite — there are a lot of fabrics in it that look like feedsacks and I think the back might be a sheet.
