She actually gave me more than one rock (does she know me, or what?!) but this one was specifically meant to be a bookend. Now I have a new purpose for picking up rocks. @margonaut . . . In addition to her collapsible shovel, my sister also keeps at least three buckets in her trunk in case she’s driving by the beach and needs to pick up some rocks. We are nothing without our ill-gotten goods.
I like the rock and the basket and the title of that book. Makes me feel better, since I seem to start way more than I finish. Your family sounds great!
@eudora I haven’t read the book yet . . . but it definitely fits me as well. My coffee table is completely covered with projects in various stages. As for the basket . . . it was my mom’s purse (maybe in the 50s or 60s?) — it’s facing sideways on the shelf and doesn’t have its handles any more but I love it!
