Dropped this going down the stairs yesterday and the whole thing fell into pieces. Today my friend Kim and I tried to put it back together. We got it all attached except one corner then realized THAT corner had to go in first except that then we couldn’t get it apart again. Then it started snowing like crazy so we had to leave the Potbelly. Sigh.
looks pretty big for a foot pedal. You can do it. Gently with a flathead screwdriver. But even in the worst case scenario, it's usually pretty easy to find a replacement. (sewing machine parts. com)
@margonaut Hmmm. I hadn’t thought of a screwdriver — duh. I’ve been trying to pop it out with my hands. Will try to be extra gentle — a replacement is $80-$120. Cheaper than a new machine but I’ll have to wait til I get my tutoring check.
