@margonaut These are plans for shelves that fit some IKEA baskets! The baskets are 8 inches high by 11 inches wide and the opening in the IKEA shelves is too big for them — what’s up with that?!
@wiesnerbeth That IS bizarre. I don't have any baskets, my IKEA shelves are used for my fabric stash. I've been trying to figure out a way to cover the front to protect from light. I'm wondering about using velcro to attach a nice thick fabric that can be removed easily.
@margonaut The Velcro/fabric idea seems promising. I have many IKEA shelves — my favorite being a green metal gardening one that I got in AS-IS already made (bonus!) but I need shelves that can fit under my coffee table since space is at a premium in this little apartment. I have not yet (in over 40 years) been able to figure out how to sort my fabric efficiently. Probably half of it is in “groups” for pending projects, which then get shuffled around as other, more interesting, projects wander in. It’s a very inefficient system.
