Front Yard Elk

These elk were in my yard yesterday evening right before another snowstorm came in. We got a lot of snow last night.

@ladypolly Yes, we have a large herd that lives in our community and is protected. If you do a Google search for "evergreen colorado elk herd" and look at the images, you will see examples of what we call an "Evergreen traffic jam."

@Dawn @koalagardens @30pics4jackiesdiamond @monicac thank you! Yes, they are pretty big. Look at them compared to deer to see the size difference. Also, they definitely can eat a lot of gardens and plants. People have to protect them carefully, also from bears and other predators.
