today is a day of mixed emotions...death & birthdays.
11 years ago today my dear father Richard passed away after suffering from emphysema for many years. I still miss him so very much & at times it seems like forever since he left us but I still can't believe it's been so long either. Lots has changed since he went & there's so much I'd love to tell him, so many people he hasn't met, so much he still had to do.
He left us on his younger brothers birthday & today Uncle Dale celebrated his 70th birthday so we spent the day with him. While we all had a lovely day, Dad was never far from our thoughts. He would have been so happy to know that we were all there for his much loved brother.
RIP my darling Dad & happy birthday Uncle Dale...I love you both xxx
