Night by yaorenliu

Night

Night falls, still no photo to post. I went to the train station and found this spot that is not bad for a shot. I found the night light is very difficult to control, I don’t like the orangey look of the photo, I have turn it into B&W. Any tip for it?
Coloure balance, automatic correction of colour/tone..These settings are all in the Correction of Ps. Though in b&w it looks just fascinating and creepy!!! I like the shadows and silhouettes of trees!

@lubybee Haha, because you are an opera singer, you will be bored with dull mood.

@yaorenliu LOL! You're absolutely right, Yao! This photo could inspire a great opera set design:-)

Definitely creepy. Looks like there might be 'things' lurking in the shadows.

White balance would sort out any orangey tones, although if you use Photoshop and shoot in RAW you can correct that in post processing. But I think it looks superb in B&W and I particularly love those shadows down at the bottom of the image.

The shot is absolutely fantastic in b&w. It grabbed my attention!

I agree with Sharon, it grabs your attention; it makes you want to keep going and look further into the shadows all the while knowing you probably shouldnt...:)

Excellent in b&w. It really adds to the shot. Makes it look very creepy in the shadows.

Wow -- this is really eerie looking with all the shadows and mystery. Well done!

I agree with the creepy feeling, especially how the light is drippiing from the top. the trees look like hands reaching up. Great photo

I think it was a good idea to change it to b/w. I'm not sure it would be as interesting in color. This way it has a mystery to it.

I'm trying to catch up now I'm home from uni and really only have time to comment on one photo from each of you so this is the one of yours I like the best from the ones I have missed. I love the drama in this shot xx
