Cicadas have such a high pitch sound, it is deafening. We have the warmest summer I can recall and my garden are full of cicadas. They don’t want to be photographed. I did not enjoy the moment when they flied straight at me and clung on my body.
Cello doesn't sound anything like a cicada, Yao - it ha depth and resonance - the beauty of which is not replicated in other string instruments! However her we have a delicate wing structure beautifully focused! Fav
Nice shot - a pity it had to give you a fright by clinging to you! You'll have to arrange a concert, so we can all turn up in Wellington to hear your cello talents!
What a great image; I love the dof in this. I'm sorry I laughed when I read they don't want to be photographed and it flew at you and clung on to your body! But it does feel odd. Great title, too.
Sorry to hear it gave you such a fright. They are so noisy and I agree they do sound very high pitched. I'm glad you chose the cello too, my sister used to play the violin when she was a child and the noise she made with it was awful. Glad she gave it up.
