Did I read somewhere someone said smog is a word invented to stop people associate romance with fog? This is definitely a fog.

Smog is a word that was coined in the 20th century and its origin is a combination of smoke and fog. Cities where there is a lot of pollution from coal smoke from chimneys, factories or car exhausts etc, create smog and it can be deadly.
