Knives and Doorknob

Here is my shot for the Artist Challenge of https://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/45050/artist-challenge-mona-hatoum.

This particular work by Mona Hatoum ( https://www.tate.org.uk/art/artworks/hatoum-untitled-wheelchair-t07497#:~:text=Untitled%20(wheelchair)%20is%20one%20of,with%20elements%20of%20potential%20torture.&text=In%20Untitled%20(wheelchair)%20she%20has,a%20wheelchair%20with%20knife%20blades.) has a strong impression on me. The presence of the knives expresses the resentment of the dependence by the person who is wheelchair bound.

I am trying to replicate the power of this internal conflict and dilemma - the thought behind "Knives and Doorknob" is triggered by the domestic violence reported in New Zealand, it currently exacerbated with the pandemic when people have to work from home, but home is no longer a sweet home.
ooh well thought out! A+

I agree with Kali! A++, you've really captured the idea/feel of the artists work - a real challenge and you've nailed it - FAV
