I thought the green patina on the folded hand's of this monument stood out well against the orange fall leaves The statue is located in Cleveland's Lake View Cemetery on the family site for canned food magnate, Francis Haserot. It is commonly referred to as "The Haserot Angel" it's actual title is "The Angel of Death Victorious" Beneath these clasped hands is an overturned torch symbolizing life extinguished and the angels victory. I liked to think of them as they look here, contemplative and prayerful.
The statue is well known to visitors of the cemetery due to weatherization causing eerie streaking on the Angels face which you can see in my 365 photo for Nov 9th-
I'm using this pic taken in the fall so I can catch up on chores and and notes for work
