@jayberg Yes it is. It is unfortunately the site of the Kent State shootings. It is in a small rural peaceful town, very hard to believe anything like that could have happened there.
@yonnie I was not old enough to understand it then, but living less than 20 miles away, I grew up in the shadow of not only the school but the shootings
Kent is a lovely campus and so is the rural countryside around it. It's sad that it will always be remembered for the shootings which I too remember vividly. A student from this area was among the victims. It was said she was shot because she was tall and thus I suppose an easy target. Tragic.
