We went to Music Hall tonight where the Cincinnati Pops performed the music to West Side Story as we watched the film on the big screen. This was one of the best things I’ve seen in a long time. I can’t remember ever seeing West Side Story all the way through. They fell in love after one dance and he died the next day? That’s worse than a Hallmark movie! Music Hall has just been renovated and is magnificent. The seats were more comfortable than before and the place looks so nice. It was a very fun night with lots of people attending the show and in Washington Park, too. It felt like a real downtown on a Saturday night!
The Music Hall looks beautiful! The ceiling is quite spectacular! Yes, many of the musicals end in tragedy or are sad...West Side Story, Carousal, Les Miserables, Ragtime, Miss Saigon, Caberet...
