There's a new art project in town! Make room for University of Cincinnati Hero Bearcat statues that celebrate everyday heroes. Thirty of the Bearcat mascots will be showcased across Greater Cincinnati for the next six months.
Hero Bearcats celebrate everyday heroes, including astronauts, nurses, firefighters, police officers and farmers, Marty Ludwig, UC’s director of trademarks and licensing, said in a release. “The campaign is a way to engage the community and celebrate the people that make Cincinnati such a great place to live and recognize that heroes can come from anywhere,” Ludwig said. “We think this will be a fun way to engage the community and bring attention to other cultural gems throughout the city."
I ran across a couple of the Hero Bearcats today at Kenwood Towne Centre. One was out front and one was inside near the food court where we had lunch. I love that Cincinnati is into the arts.
