Our friends Carol and Ken decided they wanted to make a difference in this world. They put all their stuff in storage, sold their house and moved to Ethiopia for a year. He volunteers in a medical clinic and she volunteers at an orphanage. They are back in town for a week — we were invited to an open house this afternoon in their honor. It was so nice seeing them again and hearing their stories. The refreshments were light and the decorations were simple. This pretty flower bunch was on one of the tables.
