Today, myself and @nickspicsnz visited Howick Historical village. Having emigrated from England, I'm usually a bit underwhelmed by New Zealand's idea of history. However I was very impressed with what they've done here. We were told it would take 45mins to get round. It was nearer 4 hours.
I am thankful for the simple Christmas celebrations of a bbq in Australia. I wouldn't be able to cope with all this, much too fussy, but I suppose as long as you have servants in Victorian times it would be easy to deal with.
