Kingwormer?

Sacred Kingfisher. I renamed him because there are no fish in our paddock, but obviously plenty of huge worms. They must have incredible eyesight, as he would sit in the tree looking around, then suddenly swoop down to the grass and fly back with, what I presume is a big worm.
They are amazing as to how eagle eyed they are. Nice shot.. That worm is wriggling try to get away..

@pusspup yes I thought that at first, but the first shot in the sequence has it spiralled around its beak. Couldn’t see any legs. Did wonder if it was a slow worm, but wasn’t sure if we have them in NZ. Only ever seen them in Scotland
