Manning Gorge

6.30am start to swim out belongings across a river in a plastic tub, an hours hike before we finally got to the beautiful Manning Gorge. Spent an hour here before returning to camp. Lots of people coming the opposite way. Glad we had the place to ourselves getting up early

@yorkshirekiwi windjanna is lovely! We are still heading up the Stuart highway so won’t catch you up. Looking forward to doing the whole Gibb RRd for the first time. We’ve done both ends before.

@pusspup we did the Broome end 5 years ago when it was drought conditions. Was a bit disappointed with Windjanna this time as there is so much water in the gorge we couldn’t get as far up as we did last time. Still had a wonderful trip though. Flying back to NZ on Sunday
