on March 25th, I got so excited that my kitchen extension was starting. The foundations were dug, down to the level of the existing house, then the trouble started. They failed the geotechnical report. It has taken until today, after numerous tests to get going again. the foundations are now 1m deeper than the existing house. The pathway to my front door has been removed, as, has half the deck. Oh well, it's progress I suppose. Must remember not to use the front door for a while. I may disappear into the foundations!
This looks like a big undertaking! I hope it goes well and you adore the remodel. You never know what you are going to discover when you go digging! I am hoping for buried treasure!
If we have an earthquake make sure you head for the kitchen because the rest of the house is going to fall down, lol! Finally, some movement - should be finished in no time now :)
